Bubble Bar Ingredients
Our handmade bubble bars / bubble scoops (also known as solid bubble bath) include the following ingredients.
Sodium Bicarbonate - Otherwise known as baking soda. Creates a dough-like texture when paired with other ingredients. Also makes the water feel silky soft.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate - Creates bubbles under running water. Derived from natural oils, it is classified as a safe surfactant for both skin and hair because of its large molecular structure.
Corn Starch - A common baking ingredient that hardens the dough. Also helps bind ingredients together, and makes the bathwater and your skin silky soft.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine - Creates a dough when combined with other ingredients, and also creates the foaming action in your bathtub.
Cream of Tartar - A common baking ingredient that hardens the dough.
Vegetable Glycerin - Creates a dough when combined with other ingredients that can be molded and worked with.
Fragrance Oil - Synthetically created oil that provides the scent wafting from your bathtub.
Kaolin Clay - A soft mineral that hardens the bath bomb. Also makes the bathwater and your skin silky soft.
Cocoa Butter - Unrefined, it helps bind the ingredients together. Also is the secret weapon that makes your skin silky soft.
Polysorbate 80 - Helps oils and colors disperse evenly into bathwater. Prevents mica from sticking to your bathtub.
FD&C Water Soluble Dyes (Blue 1, Red 28, Red 40, Yellow 5) - Provide color in the bath bomb as well as in the bath water. Batch certified by the FDA.
Mica - Minerals that have been synthetically colored.
